Organizational Coaching

In the early part of my career, I worked in health policy and health systems improvement. As an evaluator of large-scale government programs, I gained firsthand insight into the ways in which organizations often fail to function as intended and how crucial effective leadership is to employee engagement and organizational success. This led me to become a coach, specializing in executive coaching and organizational consulting.

 

Over the past 15 years, I have coached and consulted with a wide range of corporate, government, and nonprofit organizations, including foundations, law firms, defense contractors, homeless services agencies, and immigration services. Regardless of the sector, great leaders produce great managers and organizations, while ineffective leaders produce poor ones. Leadership coaching helps leaders to build self-awareness, communications and performance.

 

My services include executive and team coaching, strategic planning, board retreats, program evaluation, and team training.  I work individually as well as with colleagues, as needed, who bring a variety of complementary skills and backgrounds.

Leadership Assessment

For organizations ready to measure leadership styles and develop leadership capacities, I am certified to administer several globally-recognized leadership assessments. These include The Leadership Circle Profile and The Leadership Challenge's Leadership Practices Inventory 360. I am also a certified user of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and use other models and measures, such as the CliftonStrengths Assessment and DiSC, as needed. In consultation with my clients, we choose the approaches and tools that best fit the goals of the engagement.

Strategic Planning & Visioning

Organizations with a clear vision and strategic plan are more likely to achieve success. I support boards and leaders to envision and craft a strategic plan to guide operational design.

Behavioral Health Workforce Development

I have worked with government agencies to strengthen the behavioral health workforce, including the design of training for peer support specialists, case managers, harm reduction specialists, and behavioral health workers. Her work supports recruitment, retention, and advancement strategies tailored to local labor market realities.

Program & Policy Design

I have led the development of innovative programs in harm reduction, housing, and community-based behavioral health services. Her policy consulting has supported government agencies in designing equitable funding strategies, evaluation frameworks, and cross-sector partnerships.

Leadership Coaching & Development

I deliver customized coaching and leadership training for executives, emerging leaders, and interdisciplinary teams. My approach enhances self-awareness, interpersonal effectiveness, and team performance, with a focus on leading through complexity and change.

Organizational Assessment & Change Management

I conduct organizational assessments to identify barriers to performance and equity. She facilitates strategic planning, change management, and culture transformation processes that align mission, operations, and workforce practices.

Training & Facilitation

I design and deliver engaging workshops on topics such as trauma-informed supervision, racial equity, harm reduction, and resilience in the helping professions. I tailor training to meet the unique needs of the audience and organization.
